Well, you simply never can predict what the majority of the American public will like or dislike. Just look at who we have for president…. Although the cuts last night were not my choice for the worst performances (except for one- Paul Kim), it’s not a big loss for the competition. The major players are still in the game.
I usually agree with what the judges say, but when it comes to Sabrina, I just can’t keep that little bit of throw up out of the back of my mouth. She just doesn’t ring true. Fake hair, fake nails, fake attitude. She is not the one to beat as far as I’m concerned. I was more sorry to see Nicole go. I liked her chutzpah.
Ryan Seacrest has won me over. I just want to cuddle him on my rather large chest. I enjoy the banter he and Simon have back and forth. Simon is right on. Paula is beautiful, warm, sexy, and loving. And Randy tells it like it is. What a great show!
Note to Idols: Bring your best game every time.

American Idol Best Season Ever?
Best Season Ever?

Will Season Six be the best season ever? One thing is for sure …the standards have gotten higher. Contestants come better prepared. They look better, sound better, present themselves better.
Season One brought us Kelly Clarkson who continues to present us with number one hits and entertaining video performances.
Season Two brought us the fierce competition between Rueben Studdard and Clay Aiken. Whatever happened to either of them? You hear about them once in awhile, but no big deals.
Season Three featured three performers who continue to wow us. Fansasia Barrino who was always my number one, brought me to tears last night with her performance from The Color Purple in which she has a starring role. She has also been promoting herself and a new album of dance hits. Jennifer Hudson is up for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in Dream Girls - the buzz is she’s a shoe in. And Diane DeGarmo is still around doing shows and charming audiences with her Broadway style.
Season Four was exciting with the competition between rockers Constantine and Bo Bice. Although I do not think Carrie Underwood can hold pitch or a candle to the performance power of some of the others, America made her the winner and she has won a couple of Grammies. (Unbelieveable! Doesn’t anyone hear?)
Season Five was awesome! It was hard for me to choose among the final six for a definite winner. Although Taylor Hicks hit it to third base everytime, I was kept on the edge of my seat by the performances of Chris Daughtry and Katharine McPhee every week. Kellie Pickler had the charm and humor that Carrie Underwood lacked. She made a guest appearance on The View recently and really impressed me. Elliott Yamin had the best chops; I miss hearing him sing. Hopefully he will come out with a project soon. Even Bucky got me stompin’ my feet every week. Season Five made me a real fan. I truly miss the Season Five group.
So, Season Six…You people have a lot to live up to. Bring your best game every day. Look good, choose a song that suits you and features your voice, and sing, sing, sing!
